What is RPL?
RPL is a way for you to gain your Certificate IV in Hairdressing based on your completion and evidence in a range of skills. This is primarily for those already in the industry that have gained their skills through the workplace but haven't gained the qualifications for it. You are expected to be able to confidently complete the units at a qualified standard using your prior skills and knowledge. Evidence is then gathered to assess your work through reference letters, skills videos, images etc. This qualification is assessed by the Adelaide Institute of Hair & Beauty (AIHB).
Once enrolled, you will be assigned a supervisor who will guide you through the units that need to be completed and who you will send your evidence for pre-evaluation. Once all your units are complete to an acceptable standard based on your supervisor's opinion, your work will be sent off to be evaluated by AIHB.
