Is Matcha Latte suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?

Matcha Latte is suitable for all pregnant and breastfeeding women who are comfortable consuming a small amount of caffeine.

Why is there only a small amount of adaptogenic herbs in Matcha Latte?

Nutra Organics decided to only add a little amount of the traditional adaptogenic herbs into Matcha Latte because there are a few very good reasons why.

Firstly, Matcha Latte is a food product, it is not designed to be therapeutic in any way and is not to be associated with the likes of therapeutic supplements, therefore Nutra Organics does not include naturopathic herbs in therapeutic amounts, only traditionally supportive amounts.

Nutra Organics also takes the safety of its products very seriously and ensure that they are suitable for all consumers without any issues of unwanted interactions or adverse effects. This is why Nutra Organics have a qualified herbalist advising on the quantities of the herbs when included in recipes. This is particularly important when considering pregnant and breastfeeding consumers as well as children who should not consume some herbs in large quantities.

Lastly, as per traditional Naturopathic knowledge, Nutra Organics' herbalist understands that more isn’t always more when it comes to some herbs, and in fact, adaptogenic herbs, in particular, will actually have a greater long-term benefit when taken in small amounts regularly as opposed to large amounts.

Aside from only containing supportive amounts of adaptogenic herbs, Matcha Latte does contain a substantial amount of Organic Japanese matcha green tea which can naturally increase alertness and energy perception due to its natural caffeine content. Matcha Latte also contains theanine which is a naturally occurring compound that helps to assist in creating calm focussed energy minus the overstimulated jitters which are just one of its many traditional benefits. Nutra Organics doesn’t promote Matcha Latte as a stimulant or to treat or influence any particular physiological process.

Are the adaptogenic herbs extracts or whole herbs?

At Nutra Organics, it is of the utmost importance that all members of the family can enjoy its products wherever possible and that they use the most “whole” form of the ingredient available in all instances. Therefore Nutra Organics does not utilise herbal extracts in any of its products. This means not only are their products more wholesome, but they are also safe for all members of the family to consume.

Is Matcha Latte vegan?

No, Matcha contains Manuka Honey which although ethically sourced, is not vegan.

What does Matcha Latte taste like?

Matcha green tea has a unique smooth, sweet and yet slightly savoury flavour that is completely different to its whole leaf counterparts. High-quality matcha, such as Nutra Organics DōMatcha® green tea, is derived solely from the shade-grown tea leaves that are harvested completely free of all stems and other plant aerial parts. Further, when combined with coconut milk and Australian manuka honey, any slight bitter tones present from the matcha are softened and together create a complex complementary flavour sensation with a sweet, creamy mouthfeel.

What on earth is Luo Hun Guo? AKA. Monk Fruit?

Monk Fruit is an ancient native fruit of Thailand & China that contains naturally occurring antioxidants known as ‘mogrosides’. These antioxidants provide an intense, well-rounded sweetness without the caloric load of sugar or the bitter aftertaste of other natural sweeteners. Traditionally, Monk Fruit was utilised by Buddhist monks as a medicinal herb in traditional Chinese medicine modalities. Today Nutra Organics utilise monk fruit to provide healthy, safe and delicious natural sweetness free from gluten, animal products, artificial additives or synthetics.

Are there any allergies or dietary concerns with the consumption of Matcha Latte?

If you suffer an allergy to pollens or other bee derived products, particularly honey, Nutra Organics recommend steering clear of Matcha Latte. Otherwise, it is free of all other commonly concerning allergens such as dairy, gluten, nuts etc. It is important to note that the product is manufactured in a facility that processes products containing fish, shellfish, eggs, soy, tree nuts, lupin and sesame.

Matcha Green Tea has been a celebrated beverage throughout Asia for centuries where it has long been consumed for its traditional benefits of enlivening, sharpening and vitalising the mind & spirit. In modern times, matcha has been touted for its unique antioxidant properties due to the presence of natural polyphenols (knowns as catechins) that are exclusively found in green tea.

Today, Nutra Organics have gone straight to the origins of matcha in Uji, Kyoto to source the highest quality organic Japanese matcha available, a zingy touch of ginger and mind fueling MCT oil to accentuate all of the naturally invigorating benefits this ancient superfood has to offer.

I honestly look forward to waking up, just to make this Matcha 🤣💚 you can really taste the coconut and it's sweet enough so you don't need to add anything to it!
